Viral Vendatta

And on the 1st day, God Commanded, Let there be light! The divine light shimmered and struck the earth in its womb, giving birth to a flawless being, who would wander the vastness of its Mother

This being, a reflection of god, would begin its pompous journey,- a journey to satisfy its never ending thirst, and would soon come to postulate itself as the higher authority over all other beings.

And soon it spreads!!, not akin to the shimmering beam of Light it had once cometh from, but it spreads like the virus, a deadly one, it spreads in the deep trenches of the ocean infecting everything marine, it then peaks to the highest mountain, polluting, melting and flooding everything serene.

Then it climbs beyond the reaches of the immensity of the land, from one pole to another, stabbing it repeatedly, uprooting trees and planting buildings, drilling valleys and paving roads, crushing flowers, and stinging bees and stealing nectar.

This unsatisfied, shrewd, loathsome creature squeezes the life out of the Mother earth, and she bleeds oil. It further curls to its mother's bosom, sigh! Not with affection, in-fact like a python, constricting its coils, around her, and all this while spewing poisonous gases, out of the combustion engine.

This being spreads at a very high rate of virality, with every footprint it creates massacres, wars, until it disarms the mother of all its beauty and scars it for eternity.

And, then the mother realises, it awakes to the bitter truth, that this seeming sea of motherly love, is nothing but a toxic mirage of gases-spread endlessly, and making a huge hole in her heart, reaching till the ozone.

She then shows her wrath, and fights fire with fire, uploads an Antivirus -COVID19 to its mainframe, which starts removing the virus slowly. This Antivirus, locks down the deadly virus, in its core, stops the spread, halts its haste of destroying everything around it.

The mother in her Vendetta, wipes the smirk off the Face of this Arrogant being, and takes away its privileges and Higher authority.

Descending Dissent

Testing times these are -I agree,
but they say we, of course need thee,
As though we were to be tied like cattle,
Tight lips, necks down, and follow unrattled.

A measure of a great democracy or good governance is
not that “we all agree” to policies,
programs or verdicts, but the correct measure is the
“ ease by which one can voice its dissent”.
I am not sure, what to make of the last few years of this government,
but the fact, that the Religion&Cast are the top measures,
while looking for a clear Mandate- is Horrifying.
To be honest, I am scared by the sheer audacity of these measures,
and how much they affect our presence in this world.

We have whole array of problems in this country
such as - health care, education, infrastructure,
Women Safety, Sanitation, jobs and more,
but none of these made it to the top of the list.
We have common issues, common pet peeves,
but somehow, we connect the most with
our dissimilarities. Moreover, when we voice the wrong doing,
we are termed as “Unpatriotic”.
We are the only nation where a Muslim is lynched,
and the perpetrators are slow clapped
to their way to the jail- and somehow killing a cow (an animal)
can result into an extrajudicial Death,
but killing a Man of a different faith- is applauded by garlands.

With the new government began- the era of descending dissent, t
he fact that we are either discouraged  by certain factions,
to disagree with the people who represent us,
the fact that we are disarmed by the truth and swayed,
so that we stay occupied in this so called rat race,
and only pick up our heads when our race/faith is in dire need,
and the fact that we respond and call it Honour, survival, religious sacrifice
or other fancy adjectives is nothing but a “charade”.

We know we are different, we understand that our difference defines us sometimes,
but we can’t forget that that our similarities unites us every time,
and I hope that we can remember that next time.
The descending dissent is the reason we see plummeting growth, fractured faith and
powerless electorate.

Hope @ Ransom

It's like a juggernaut,
heading right towards me,
And as it gets closer -there is nothing I can see.
It hurts before it hits me
I barely stand, and it sits me
Then it plunges through the dark mist,
I shudder and watch with my clenched fist.

At the speeds that I can't control,
The trajectory that I can’t fathom.
I feel like a captive -with my hope at ransom.

Admission seems as a likely answer
Giving up citing a funny banter,
Suggesting it was tough, it wasn’t meant to be, I wasn’t ready, it wasn’t for me.

Punched, battered, bruised and Chained
And they took that part and surgically maimed.
The part without which no part is whole
It’s a need for life and food for soul.

But I wasn’t the only one, there were others before me
They were put through the same, and yet they were free

Prison don’t stop us, peers do,
Ropes don’t tie us fears do.
For it doesn’t come easy, it’s an upward slope
The part which makes it a whole- Is Hope

Not Knot

No, not yet.
It’s a little hard to forget.
Not sure if we were ever meant to be
I see no light as far as I can see
I know I wasn’t ever longsighted
The present for me was always highlighted
Craziness is probably all ceased
The feelings, the love, kind of deceased
I remember when one drop of tear was plenty
But I can’t seem to,- this time ‘up the ante’
You come genuine, you seem fair
You have shown me enough care
But it’s like that outer skin has peeled
And I don’t like what that revealed
It’s just not the same, that’s what I fear
Whatever I feel now, is unclear
I don’t know where I have reached
I feel- tired, lost and impeached
I will hold the fort, I am clear
I won’t run along, at the sign of fear
But are you worthy, I can’t bet
No, knot yet…………………….

Life's On Lease

There is an urge to win, to become,
There is nothing to which we shall succumb
We then look around for something to ply
The power, the wealth and an occasional sly.
We hunt, we prowl, we remain un-tired
We blindly follow, like we are wired
We follow a beat, and dance to its tune
We sail towards it, like a crazy loon.
I can hear those beats, from behind that door
It is inviting, enticing and I would say no more
The admission to which means, all wealth and power
The attainment of life, and all desire.
And as we went in, the music stopped
what transpired then, I could never have hoped
This door opened, to more doors akin
With similar music, and beats flippin.
I guess this is it, I am done,
The length of these laps is known to none.
So today I bench the haste, and I clip the desire
I Extinguish this furnace, which breeds the fire.
It stops here, and their blows the cold breeze.

It’s time for life to renew its lease.

Spurious Art

The man we chose and so we pose
Nothing short of an “Art”,
and then- that’s what we cart.
This Art,- flawless, magic-they say
Such class, such skill, mere poise- If I may.
We carry this art; wherever we go.
We claim it as ours and begin our show
The Art hangs on a nail, on a colorful wall,
I see those faces in awe and some of them appall
They think it is great, they think it is real
And then the colors fade and art begins to peel
They call it as Spurious!, fake! and false!
And then it is taken down- with a smeared applause
It sits there in cart, all withered and pale
Loses all its colors but hangs onto the nail.
This nail is its hope, to go back on that wall
Since its not its last and that's not "All"

Graceful Fall

Elegant, was the word my tongue could manage, as I saw this ring rotating on a table,
Two concaves, joint together- moving in tune with the Nth symphony of Silence,
Like they were free, free from all the self created troubles stemming from overambitious desires.
As I looked at it curling, I heard an accelerating looping sound-Ring was humming, like it was happy to be alive.
I kept on looking at the ring, as it moved on its axis from side to side, and now two words came to my mind- oblivious intoxication.
Now,the ring seemed rebellious, tired of gravitational tyranny-it had gone rouge.
I could not take my eyes off the ring, like I was looking for some unanswered celestial questions.
Then I saw it slowing down, like it had lost, but was not ready to get on its knees to handover its armor.
and then another strikingly familiar word came to me-Human.
Slowly, the ring came to a halt, with two sides still trying to raise head, still humming quietly-showing the elegant candor, before it could come to a complete stop.
At this point, an epiphanous outbreak led me to two words-Graceful Fall
An end, with these two words in cahoots-has not been a part to a life of many great men.
