Hope @ Ransom

It's like a juggernaut,
heading right towards me,
And as it gets closer -there is nothing I can see.
It hurts before it hits me
I barely stand, and it sits me
Then it plunges through the dark mist,
I shudder and watch with my clenched fist.

At the speeds that I can't control,
The trajectory that I can’t fathom.
I feel like a captive -with my hope at ransom.

Admission seems as a likely answer
Giving up citing a funny banter,
Suggesting it was tough, it wasn’t meant to be, I wasn’t ready, it wasn’t for me.

Punched, battered, bruised and Chained
And they took that part and surgically maimed.
The part without which no part is whole
It’s a need for life and food for soul.

But I wasn’t the only one, there were others before me
They were put through the same, and yet they were free

Prison don’t stop us, peers do,
Ropes don’t tie us fears do.
For it doesn’t come easy, it’s an upward slope
The part which makes it a whole- Is Hope

Not Knot

No, not yet.
It’s a little hard to forget.
Not sure if we were ever meant to be
I see no light as far as I can see
I know I wasn’t ever longsighted
The present for me was always highlighted
Craziness is probably all ceased
The feelings, the love, kind of deceased
I remember when one drop of tear was plenty
But I can’t seem to,- this time ‘up the ante’
You come genuine, you seem fair
You have shown me enough care
But it’s like that outer skin has peeled
And I don’t like what that revealed
It’s just not the same, that’s what I fear
Whatever I feel now, is unclear
I don’t know where I have reached
I feel- tired, lost and impeached
I will hold the fort, I am clear
I won’t run along, at the sign of fear
But are you worthy, I can’t bet
No, knot yet…………………….

Life's On Lease

There is an urge to win, to become,
There is nothing to which we shall succumb
We then look around for something to ply
The power, the wealth and an occasional sly.
We hunt, we prowl, we remain un-tired
We blindly follow, like we are wired
We follow a beat, and dance to its tune
We sail towards it, like a crazy loon.
I can hear those beats, from behind that door
It is inviting, enticing and I would say no more
The admission to which means, all wealth and power
The attainment of life, and all desire.
And as we went in, the music stopped
what transpired then, I could never have hoped
This door opened, to more doors akin
With similar music, and beats flippin.
I guess this is it, I am done,
The length of these laps is known to none.
So today I bench the haste, and I clip the desire
I Extinguish this furnace, which breeds the fire.
It stops here, and their blows the cold breeze.

It’s time for life to renew its lease.

Spurious Art

The man we chose and so we pose
Nothing short of an “Art”,
and then- that’s what we cart.
This Art,- flawless, magic-they say
Such class, such skill, mere poise- If I may.
We carry this art; wherever we go.
We claim it as ours and begin our show
The Art hangs on a nail, on a colorful wall,
I see those faces in awe and some of them appall
They think it is great, they think it is real
And then the colors fade and art begins to peel
They call it as Spurious!, fake! and false!
And then it is taken down- with a smeared applause
It sits there in cart, all withered and pale
Loses all its colors but hangs onto the nail.
This nail is its hope, to go back on that wall
Since its not its last and that's not "All"

Graceful Fall

Elegant, was the word my tongue could manage, as I saw this ring rotating on a table,
Two concaves, joint together- moving in tune with the Nth symphony of Silence,
Like they were free, free from all the self created troubles stemming from overambitious desires.
As I looked at it curling, I heard an accelerating looping sound-Ring was humming, like it was happy to be alive.
I kept on looking at the ring, as it moved on its axis from side to side, and now two words came to my mind- oblivious intoxication.
Now,the ring seemed rebellious, tired of gravitational tyranny-it had gone rouge.
I could not take my eyes off the ring, like I was looking for some unanswered celestial questions.
Then I saw it slowing down, like it had lost, but was not ready to get on its knees to handover its armor.
and then another strikingly familiar word came to me-Human.
Slowly, the ring came to a halt, with two sides still trying to raise head, still humming quietly-showing the elegant candor, before it could come to a complete stop.
At this point, an epiphanous outbreak led me to two words-Graceful Fall
An end, with these two words in cahoots-has not been a part to a life of many great men.

Live-Win (Livin)

Let me claim this life; Let me live it my way,

Let me fall to stand up again, oh! Please let me astray.

Let me not course the way to greatness, let that not fool my way.

Let me drill, drown and grope, no matter what they say.

Oh! Let me not kill my instincts, let me find my own prey.

Let me wrestle, rumble and brawl, let me see those faces appall.

Let me break, build and bind, let me leave my own kind.

Let me run and let me crawl, when the world says - walk tall.

Let me lose this time, oh! Let me sin, why is it so important to win?

A Complete Half

I feel like a disfigured earthen pot, complete but not perfect.

Useful but no equipped, proper but not ornamented.

Like a gift, not worth buying. Like a coin unused,

Like an important incident, not documented,

Like the running water in an abandoned house,

Like the only ticking arm of a watch.

I am a whole, but a part to this world,

Complete alone- incomplete without others.
